Libraries need Friends – it’s just that simple. In fact, across America many public libraries were established through the efforts of community members who understood the value of libraries to their communities and also understood that libraries needed community support to survive.

Season in review

Each season becomes our best ever as the Library grows thanks to our dedicated members whose never-ending enthusiasm, time, and talents provide new fund raising activities to supply books, movies, and other services to Library patrons. Our Bouse community residents and winter visitors generously support the efforts of the Friends through donations, shopping at the Final Chapter book store, and participation in our events. Here’s what happens each season:

November through March – Final Chapter is open the 1st and 3rd Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Extra open days and occasional yard sales at the Final Chapter may be announced in conjunction with other town wide events. Watch the Bouse Community Newsletter.

Message from the
'Friends of the Bouse Public Library'
President: Jane Allbert

“We had a banner year exceeding our past sales in the book store, thanks in part to our great team of Volunteers who work so hard organizing and working the Final Chapter. We had new, exciting fundraising ventures this year, and have planned an amazing concert for January!  We have a great Friends of the Library group and I would encourage anyone interested in spreading their literary wings to come join this fun group of people!”

COMING January – Annual Comedy Revue – January 11, 2019

For next season, we are happy to report that four members of the New Christy Minstrels, known as the Cockamamie Quartette, has been contracted for our 2019 show. Randy Sparks, who started and still leads the “Minstrels” formed this smaller group to bring their talents to smaller venues and smaller audiences. Turns out, we’re just the right size for them and they were open for a booking on Friday, January 11 at 2pm. So mark your calendars, folks. They’ll bring us lots of memories and enjoyment as they present their songs and zany antics. We’re a couple of weeks earlier than normal, but are very excited to bring this group to Bouse Elementary School for you. Check them out by going to www.thenewchristyminstrels.com.

we will add more information as the season gets closer
